This OVA adaptation brings to life the popular era novel "Mihai Tsun's" work, featuring the talents of the staff duo Toshio and Shigeyuki, known for the anime "Ahita no Joe." The protagonist, Kyōshin Shurazō, is a ronin burdened with the ominous family crest "Shibukemon." His mastery of the sword is demonstrated when he effortlessly cuts down a white tiger with a single strike. Recognizing his formidable skills, the enigmatic ninja group Seiki Ichin launches an attack on the South Kura domain, kidnapping the beautiful Takiki Haruhime. The domain then commissions Shurazō to recover Haruhime, offering the legendary silver dragon sword as a bargaining tool. However, the Seiki Ichin, whose true objective is this sword, demand it in exchange for Haruhime, yet Shurazō stands firm against them even if it means endangering innocent children. The distinctive visual style of Toshio and Shigeyuki's works, characterized by the striking contrast between light and shadow, is evident here. Although this genre is less common for the duo, the cinematic brilliance of their craftsmanship shines through.
