Virdee is a new detective series adapted from AA Dhand’s acclaimed crime novel series. The story follows Detective Harry Virdee (played by Sacha Dhawan), a law enforcement officer in Bradford whose relationship with his Sikh family has deteriorated after marrying Saima, a Muslim woman. Haunted by familial rejection, Harry is determined to mend his fractured ties while investigating a series of murders targeting the Asian community. When the killer escalates their threat by abducting the daughter of a local MP in Bradford and holding the city hostage, Harry is forced to seek aid from his brother-in-law Riaz, a notorious drug trafficker leading the county’s most powerful cartel. Bound by a perilous alliance, Harry confronts an impossible dilemma: protect his loved ones or safeguard the city. The choice will demand sacrifices he cannot afford to make.
