The upcoming series, titled "The Tower II: Death Message," is derived from Kate London's acclaimed second novel of the same name. Developed by screenwriter Patrick Harbinson, known for his work on "Homeland," "Fearless," "24," and "ER," the project is produced by Windhover Films in collaboration with Mammoth Screen.
The narrative begins with Lizzie (Tahirah Sharif) returning to Farlow station, where she is paired with Arif Johar (Michael Karim) by her former lover and superior, DI Kieran Shaw (Emmett J Scanlan). Their initial assignment involves investigating a domestic violence case against Mark Brannon, accused of assaulting his girlfriend Georgina Teel and abusing their child Skye.
Lizzie successfully convinces Georgina to testify truthfully about Brannon's actions, leading to his arrest by the duo. However, during the courtroom proceedings, Lizzie faces intense cross-examination, causing the case to reach a precarious turning point.
Sarah recognizes the daunting nature of Fedden's case but approaches it with unwavering resolve. Drawing from her own experiences as a teenager of Tania's age in 1997, she gradually uncovers overlooked evidence from previous investigations. By the conclusion of the first episode, her inquiry takes an unexpected turn, prompting a renewed connection with Lizzie.
